That's right! We are now opening up invitations to join Prohibition Deck! If you are interested in joining, please note that participation in the chatroom is an absolute must. It does not mean that you have to be in the chatroom daily, but putting in some face time is. If you are interested in joining, (or know others who are interested!), note the club and we will send the invitation, as well as additional information you will need to make your character sheet. If you have issues with clothing, weapons and accessories, or issues with photoshop, we are more than willing to help out! All you have to do is ask.
Prohibition Deck is a club that will have characters and a story based around the Prohibition Movement of the United States. The Movement takes place in the 1920s (specifically 1920-1933) and Prohibition Deck will be set during the year of 1925- the age of jazz and flappers.
Prohibition is a period where the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcohol for consumption was banned nationally as mandated in the eighteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. Because of this ban, many organized fractions of crime were developed to process bootleg liquor in clandestine underground breweries. In Prohibition Deck, the Dealer is a highly organized corporation gang that is consisted of fifty-two members based around a deck of playing cards. There are four sections, or Suites of Dealer: Spades, Clubs, Hearts, and Diamonds. The king of each suite is the head boss of their faction and is an npc, but doesn't necessarily have to be a male. Queens of suites are second in command to their specified faction and also serve as npc's; and, like the kings, they do not necessarily have to be female. The ranking system of the hierarchy is based on the number of the character, the highest starting at King and ending with 2. Ace is a term that can be used for either a newbie member, or a high-ranking veteran. The two Joker's are one of the highest members; considered wild cards in the organization as they have their own various uses- but it seems they are mostly used as accountants and messenger dogs for The House Dealer..
In Dealer, various suites have specific qualities about their faction.
Spades
Also known as Aids- this faction are the suppliers and developers of various weaponry, explosives and cutlery for Dealer. It seems the majority of the members are missing limbs or organs from development and experimentation.
Clubs
The Clubs specialize in violence and delivery- being considered the work horses of Dealer. They often make sure that the alcohol is delivered under the nose from cops and often get into brawls with other rivaling gangs (it is not uncommon for rival gangs to shoot down a deal and steal the goods). Like Spades, the Clubs are often rougher members who have criminal backgrounds.
Hearts
Consisting of beautiful men and women, the Hearts are the ones to bring the customers into the business. They are smooth talking salesmen, who always keep a wary eye out for the police. Many keep influential customers company as they take part in drinking.
Diamonds
Often the Diamonds are the rich who invest under the table to keep an underground brewery in production. Some are even the ones who have a hand in fermenting the alcohol.
Rules for the Club:
Characters must be over the age of eighteen. (As this was the legal drinking age before the Prohibition Movement banned alcohol)

Character sheets must be in sepia tones- no color or black and white.

Characters must wear clothing as dictated by the year (1925)

Characters must have a name based on the name census of the dictated decades (late 1800s-1900 based in the year that they were born)

Weapons can only be from the specified decade- nothing else will be allowed.

Please note that despite the intended year and our wish to remain as historically accurate as possible, we do not condone to racism in the chats or to other characters. This club's intention is to make it as friendly as possible for both users and characters. Keep in mind not everyone in the South was racist during this time period, and many immigrants came to America (according to history, the majority being from Russia, Italy, Austria-Hungary, Poland and Germany) between 1890-1914. This does not mean we will reject any Asian characters, and it is perfectly alright to create an African American character without the worriment of racism being an issue.

If you have an issue or a concern about character creation/development, please do not hesitate to contact the main account, or come into the
Chatroom and ask away. We are more than willing to help you out!
